Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on rendering humanitarian aid to the state of Israel, the president’s press service reports.

"The head of state issued the decree to provide humanitarian aid to the State of Israel to assist in overcoming the emergency situation as a result of outbreak of fires," reads the statement.

The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to urgently ensure the provision of appropriate humanitarian assistance.

The president also ordered the Ukrainian interior minister to send two AN-32 aircraft to help Israeli firefighters to extinguish fires near the city of Haifa.

On November 22, wildfires swept through central and northern parts of Israel. More than 75,000 people have been evacuated. Firefighting airplanes help firefighters to combat the fires.
