First MH17 investigation results to be released early autumn

The joint investigation team, which deals with the Malaysia airlines flight MH17 downed in Donbas in July 2014, will publish the first results of the investigation in early autumn.

This is reported by Crimea.Realities portal with reference to the Dutch Safety Board overseeing the group’s activity.

"The data on the type of weapons, used to shot down MH17 flight, as well as the exact location of the launch will be made public," the Dutch Safety Board said.

The joint investigation team explained that it had hoped to complete this part of the investigation by the end of the half-year period but some of the issues took more time than expected. In particular, the team is still awaiting information about the Buk air defense missile systems from Russia.

The joint investigation team was established by the police and the prosecutor's offices of the Netherlands, Australia, Malaysia, Belgium and Ukraine to cooperate within the criminal investigation aiming to identify those responsible for MH17 crash and bring perpetrators to justice.
