12 populated areas in Ukraine still without electricity

Some 12 populated areas in Ukraine are still without electricity because of bad weather.
Deputy director of the department on responding to emergency situations in Ukraine, Volodymyr Demchuk, said at a briefing in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Measures are currently being taken, the works are being held to resume electricity supply in 12 populated areas in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Odesa regions,” he said.
According to Demchuk, on the whole during the worsening of weather conditions in Ukraine on January 8-10, electricity supply was cut off in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Kherson and Cherkasy regions.
“As of today electricity supply has been resumed in 123 populated areas,” he noted.
