Dutch Safety Board to report on MH17 crash cause today
The report will be made public after it is presented to the media, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from in the Netherlands.
"First, the findings will be presented to the relatives of those killed in the crash. After that, Chairman of the Safety Board Tjibbe Joustra will present the findings of the investigation to the media representatives," the Dutch Safety Board press office says.
The Safety Board of the Netherlands spent more than a year to investigate the crash. The experts reconstructed the part of the aircraft (cockpit and part of the business class), which will also be demonstrated in course of presentation.
However, the Safety Board notes that the report will not name those responsible for the crash, as the investigators deal with this issue within the framework of criminal proceedings. The Dutch prosecutors expect the proceedings to last until the end of this year at least.
